Sleeping In The Forest
I thought the earth remembered me,
she
took me back so tenderly,
arranging
her dark skirts, her pockets
full of lichens and seeds.
I slept
as never before, a stone
on the riverbed, nothing between me
and the white fire of the stars
but my thoughts, and they floated
light as moths among the branches
of the perfect trees. All night
I heard the small kingdoms
breathing
around me, the insects,
and the birds
who do their work in the darkness.
All night
I rose and fell, as if in water,
grappling
with a luminous doom. By morning
I had vanished at least a dozen
times
into something better.

Call Of The Beginning
where are my shoes
Who was calling: Sohrab?
The voice was familiar like the air
to the leaf- body
My mother is asleep
And Manouchehr and Parvaneh, maybe
all the people of the city
The night of June is passing, as
slowly as a monody, above the head of the seconds
And a cool breeze is sweeping my
sleeping from the edge of green blanket
I scent the smell of migration:
My pillow is full of song of
swallows' feathers
The dawn will come
And to this bowl of water,
The sky will migrate
I have to go tonight
I who talked to the people of the
area through the most open window
I didn't hear a word about time
There was no romantic eye on the
ground
No one was fascinated by seeing a
garden
No one took a jackdaw so seriously
on a farm
I am feeling blue the size of a
cloud
When I see through the window, Houri
_ Neighbor adult girl_ The foot of
the most rare elm on earth, reads jurisprudence
There are also things, high
moments
(I saw a poetess, for example
Who was so wrapped in watching the
space that, in his eyes,
The sky laid eggs
And a night of nights
A man asked me
how many hours is to the grape
dawn?)
I have to go tonight
I should take the luggage
tonight
Which is about the size of my
lonely shirt
And go to the point where the epic
trees are visible
Toward the extent of wordless that
always call me
Someone called again: Sohrab!
where are my shoes?
